Ardmore Companion Animal Hospital

My 16 year old Cat Squeaky was ill and I decided to take him to Ardmore Companion Animal Hospital. I called and received a same day appointment. Upon arrival I was greeted with friendly staff and immediately we were shown to an exam room. I was allowed to fill up my paperwork there instead of out of the lobby which I thought was very nice. A few minutes later just as I was finishing up the one sheet paperwork. A vet tech came in and talked with me about what was wrong with squeaky. She was very compassionate and explained the process that they use their. And then I would go over everything with me allow me to make any decisions that need to be made a few minutes later the vet came in with a vet tech and we were discussing the possibilities of what was wrong with squeaky squeaky being an elder cat I knew the possibilities of what could be wrong. I knew that there's a possibility the squeaky is at end of life. And I discuss this with Dr Helms we decided to run some blood work and give squeaky some meds and Dr Helms would call me the next morning to see how squeaky was. Was squeaky took a turn for the worst at night. And I honestly didn't think it would make it through the night so I made sure I was at the vet by 8:00 a.m. and when the vet came in to see him I told him that he was not going to make it. And so we prepared him to pass away they were very compassionate also very sweet with squeaky. Squeaky passed away before they were able to euthanize him. An elder cat like squeaky who is 16 years old can turn very quickly. I know this because I have several Elder cats and one went through this in February. They also can get very sick very quickly what I really want to say is this Clinic was amazing it was very clean everybody was very respectful and actually just wonderful. They were also very very friendly I've been to other clinics since my cat's vet have passed away and I had to find a new one and this one stands out far above any of the other clinics up into. I have five more cats of various ages and I'll be using this Clinic. They are very kind compassionate clean and you're not waiting out in the lobby forever to be seen. Yes it was a hard day and it didn't turn out the way I wanted to turn out. But that's nobody's fault. It was just squeaky's time and he lived a very long and happy life. And I wish I had this Clinic when I had to do the same thing in February with squeaky's brother.

Our cat's first vet checkup could not have gone any better - from the welcoming front desk to the calm, thorough, and kind care from both the tech JJ and Dr. Rosenbek. Everything was explained, nothing was rushed, questions were answered, and options were given with zero pressure. I feel totally comfortable with the quality of care our cat will receive for any future checkups or issues.

What a gem of a clinic. After a rough experience at another clinic, I was on the hunt for a vet who was willing to treat chickens. Dr. Helms has helped me with my chickens twice now, and he is a great doctor. He’s straightforward, but so kind and really knowledgeable about the birds. He takes the time to explain everything, and I was never made to feel like “it’s just a chicken, why the fuss?” The entire staff is professional, prices and treatment options are explained thoroughly, and I would say prices are comparable to other clinics in the area. While I’ve been to cheaper clinics with my chickens, they were no where near as good. Really glad to have this option in the area!
