the whole staff is amazing beyond words !! it’s been a chaotic year with more vet visits than anticipated but i’ve never been worried about the quality of care my kiddos will receive or the cost of the appointment. my kiddos and i appreciate dr. lebel and his team so very much !!🐾💕

We recently experienced something heartbreaking after finding a feral cat that had been hit by a car and was clearly suffering. We brought the cat to a local veterinary clinic hoping they would help end the animal’s pain compassionately. Instead, we were told they would not assist unless we paid $250, then later $180, and were told it was “illegal” for them to euthanize the cat otherwise. While I understand clinics have policies and costs, it was incredibly difficult to watch an animal suffer while being turned away during an emergency situation. Thankfully, the wonderful staff at Bartlett Animal Shelter stepped in, took the cat, and compassionately helped relieve its pain. We are truly grateful for their kindness and humanity during such a sad situation. I hope veterinary clinics can find better ways to handle emergency suffering animals with more compassion and guidance for the people trying to help them.
